Globalisation: Is a house really a home.

These last few years, the surges of discontent, complaints and feeling of abandonment from citizens in numerous part of the world such as the United Kingdom gave us a good idea of some side effects of globalisation.

This virtual disappearance of borders to allow greater flux of goods , people, services and financial capitals have open territories in a way that has never been before. We must work to analyze and correct these issues going forward, not choosing between populist sovereignism and aggressive liberalism, but choosing peace, compromises. While some put ahead the economic benefits of globalisation other see their traditions, landscape and habits change and are afraid of it.

The world and our nations, ought not to be polarized in two. This will only increase the tensions, mistrust and division that could lead to unprecedented level of instability and violence. Let’s not allow the OTHERIZATION certain political leaders are using ,to scare, divide and gain in popularity, explain whatever side effects globalisation is producing.

I believe that it is not a fight between sovereignism and liberalism, but a journey we must undertake to find another way home. These changes are inevitable, but how do we respond and stay attentive to the scream of the populations living in capitals or peripheries is decisive going forward.
